With chlorogenic acid, studies show that it can reduce absorption of carbohydrates from the digestive tract and may also help in the lowering of blood sugar and insulin spikes. In a study that compared the effects of green coffee versus regular brown coffee when used for fat loss/weight loss, it was green coffee that proved to be more beneficial. Two groups were taken for a randomized control trial. One group consumed green coffee and the second group consumed brown coffee. After the end of 12 weeks, with the same diet and exercise, the group which consumed green coffee lost more weight as well as fat as compared to the group that consumed brown coffee. Apart from this, green coffee beans offer you the same benefits also which brown coffee does.
Dosage and Form
As is the case with any food item, the natural form is the best source for green coffee too. Green coffee extracts are available in various forms like tablets and capsules. A few pre-workout supplements as well as fat burners also use it as one of their ingredients.
